L'incontro
Antico, a versatile ensemble dedicated to present
innovative programming with historically informed
performances of music works primarily from the 17th
and 18th centuries. L'incontro Antico, was founded
in The Netherlands, and brings together a number of
graduates from The Royal Conservatory of The Hague,
one of Europe's leading Early Music conservatories.
All members of have specialized in playing on period
instruments.
L'incontro Antico seeks to communicate the spirit
of baroque music with stylish, high-energy, and virtuoso
performances, and strive for excellence in performance
and programming.
L'incontro
Antico consists variaty of performers depending on
the program that is presenting. All members of the
ensemble have studied with the most prominent teachers
in Europe in the field of early music and performance
prectice including, Alfredo Bernardini, Enrico Gatti,
Jaap ter Linden, Rainer Zipperling, Jill Feldman,
and Ton Koopman, as well as played with various ensembles
and orchestras around Europe, including Les Concert
des Nations and Musica Antiqua Köln.
